Visit with Erica

After breakfast today, Marty and I went to visit my Aunt Erika at Galay Haopera, the assisted/nursing facility where she has lived for 6 years (tomorrow).  It was so good to see Erika again (I saw her during my last visit), and she looked very well and content.  She was also so happy to see Marty who she thinks is the best man, husband, etc.  (Of course she is right!)  While Marty entertained Erika, I met with her social worker to find out how she was doing and if her needs were being met.  I learned that she has been doing well and most of her needs are being met.  She added that when asked Erika said she would like a dress for the winter, so that began our quest for the day.  We took a cab down to a big new mall in Tel Aviv.  After a bit of a search, we found a store that had clothes that were appropriate and appreciated by Erika and they were on sale!  She would look at the price first, but I told her to stop doing this as this was something that I wanted to do and mom had asked me to do for her as well.  We successfully found 3 dresses and two tops for her.  We continued down the ramp on our way out and she found a store she was interested in which sold products from the Dead Sea, so I purchased some Glycerin soaps for her, a bag with assorted products including lotions, and shampoo.  I was very pleased to have found so many things that she liked and will enjoy.
