Sunday afternoon

After learning that mom was visiting with (my brother) Eli, Marty suggested that we try to connect mom and her sister via Skype (what a great idea-to have them talk to each other after not seeing each other for 3 years).  We returned to the nursing home and picked Erika up and brought her back to our hotel.  The first couple of attempts did not work out due to some technical difficulties so we decided to have something to eat at the hotel and then return for another attempt.  This one was successful.  The connection between the two sisters turned out to be very emotional.  Erika commented numerous times at how old mom looked and that she liked her better this way.  She thought that she herself looked much younger (until she later saw some photos of herself, where she saw that she looked older than she thought as well-she feeling like she was still 18).  They were both brought to tears at this incredible technological reunion.  Erika praying that they should both remain healthy enough to see each other again.
In and around this connection, we were able to also connect with Jessica and Colin at school and then Rachel and Laurids in Copenhagen.
By the end of this experience, I think Erika was a bit overwhelmed with the the experience, but expressed much gratitude to G-d and to us for all that she had been provided with on this day. Marty and I were grateful as well for this blessed opportunity.
We returned a tired Erika to her home with a plan to visit with her again on Tuesday.
